August 30th is National Marshmallow Toasting Day

No one really knows who proclaimed it but today (August 30th) is National Marshmallow toasting day.  It's just another day to add to our calendars but it's a great day to celebrate with the kids, or even host your own Marshmallow toasting party - just because!  I used to love smores as a kid and it's been years since I've had one.  I discovered this inexpensive decadent treat at 6th grade overnight camp.  There is nothing like the taste of a gooey marshmallow roasted over an open flame.  Check out this great recipe for a twist on smores!  Smores Recipe Ingredients 1 cup butter, melted 1/3 cup white sugar 3 cups graham cracker crumbs 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips 3 cups miniature marshmallows Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
