LAST CALL: Last minute Holiday Shopping
Are you a procrastinator like many Americans when it comes to Holiday shopping? This is the last weekend before Christmas and stores are packed. I could barely get out of my sub-development yesterday. UPS reports that this week is their busiest week with Wednesday being their busiest day. Well if you are among the ranks, you are not too late. CBS News reports a list of last minute gift ideas and has a list of shipping deadlines. Like many of us, you can do your shopping online or you can go out and brave the masses but be sure to pack some patience! You can still find some great deals out there.

So I decided to try microblading on my eyebrows. As a side note, if you plan on having it done for your wedding or other event, I recommend getting the procedure done no less than 3 months before your event. After scouring the internet and watching countless Youtube videos and checking out Instagram photos, I became obsessed with this new beauty craze.
For those of you who aren't familar with microblading, it is a type of permanent makeup for your eyebrows. Your eyebrows are tattooed with permanent ink. So it happens to me every year, actually twice a year since I have two boys. I wait until the last minute to start planning because I have no idea where to hold their birthday parties. While searching online I found a host of unique places that just never come to mind when I'm trying to figure what to do for the kids. These are in no particular order but I went ahead and compiled a list of my top 10 favorites within the DC, MD and VA (DMV) area. Feel free to add your own in the comments section below:
Backyard Parties: If you don't want to spend the cash to rent a venue and you have the space in your backyard, I recommend GigMasters. With GigMasters you can book the services of a clown or magician, rent chairs, tables or even a bounce house. You tell them th…
When you are planning a wedding there is a lot more to worry about than just ordering your supplies and decorations. Just like every step of the wedding, there are rules of etiquette on wording for the bride and groom's name.So you may be wondering what name format to use on your party favors, wedding décor, invitations, etc. Is it the Groom's name or the Bride's name first? First and foremost, I must mention, it is your wedding and your day, so you can do whatever you want to. However, tradition or custom states a particular order as to whose name goes first.American custom or tradition states the name of the bride precedes the groom's name on any printed items. So if you are known as "Brian and Sarah", your napkins in this case will be "Sarah and Brian", with Sarah obviously being the bride. The same applies if you are using initials or a monogram. So again, you are S&B. When adding names to party favors, supplies and decorations, in mo…
